Things to Do in Boothbay Harbor Maine in Winter

Even on the cold snowy days, I have to admit, the area is beautiful. The snow sparkles on the water, and brings a new life to downtown. There are many things to do in Boothbay Harbor Maine in Winter.

You can't help but take in the beauty when you visit some of the many Land Trust walking trails, or enjoy the Botanical Gardens. In the winter season, there is no fee for visiting the gardens, and the Land Trust is always a great free way to get out and stretch. The Gardens would be a good place to snowshoe, they also have lots of family friendly activities in the winter.

If you are looking for a great place to view the water, I would definitely recommend driving the circle around Ocean Point on East Boothbay, or visit Barrett's Park on Lobster Cove Road.

There are some snow mobile trails in town as well, the Bonnie Locks on Eastern Avenue allows snow mobiling. As dreary as January and February are, sometimes I have to remind myself, that I live in one of the prettiest places in the world. Come visit and see for yourself!
